What is freeze dried?

Awesome. That's what it is. How many of us WANT to give our bird the best possible diet but find ourselves short of time? Just like eating healthy ourselves, life gets in the way, we get it. Trust us, we definitely get it! Buuuut... now you can give your bird fresh vegetables with the convenience of simply scooping it out the same way you would pellets or seed.

Hellloooo, Bird Bites!

The freeze drying process is as close to feeding fresh as you can get. It preserves the freshness of the ingredients within and retains nearly 100% of nutrients. For comparison, dehydrated food only retains around 60%. That's almost double the vitamins and minerals!

The produce in our chop is hand selected by us, and prepared by us. Only the freshest (no mushy, old stuff here!) fruits and veggies are chosen, washed, chopped and freeze dried in a clean, professional setting.

Is Bird Bites Organic? We source all fruits and vegetables from small-town local produce markets and farmer's markets where organic practices are standard, but not promised. We use "certified" organic produce whenever possible, but this certification is cost prohibitive for many mom and pop farms who don't believe in using pesticides.

Although most orders are filled and shipped within a few days of ordering, there are times that due to the nature and time it takes to freeze dry, orders could take up to a week to fill. If you are in an immediate need, please include a note and I will do everything I can to expedite your order!

We ship throughout the United States and Canada* and can accept orders on the site.

We do ship worldwide with some exceptions. Please send me a message for assistance for orders outside of USA and Canada.
