F10 Ready to Use Veterinary Disinfectant Cleanser with Trigger Spray 1 Liter
When it comes to cleaning around birds, most options fall into a few different categories… either they are not truly bird-safe, they are just a bird safe cleaner or they fall short as a true science based disinfectant.
F10 Veterinary Disinfectant is a trusted, veterinary-grade solution designed to eliminate bacteria, viruses, fungi, mold, mildew, yeast, spores, and common avian pathogens, helping you maintain a truly healthy environment for your bird.
This is not just another surface spray. F10 is a true disinfectant, made to go beyond surface-level cleaning and eliminate harmful microorganisms you can’t see, so your bird’s space is not just clean, but properly disinfected.
Widely used by avian veterinarians and professionals, the 1 Liter Ready-to-Use formula brings that same level of care directly into your home with no mixing, no guesswork, and no hassle, while remaining exceptionally gentle when used as intended.
The no mess to mix F10 is diluted to a 1:250 concentration for cleaning and disinfection of all hard, non-porous surfaces, e.g. floors, walls, bathroom fixtures, equipment, utensils and instruments in veterinary practices, kennels, stables, catteries, aviaries and other animal housing facilities, made of stainless steel, vinyl, hard plastic, glass or chrome.
F10 Disinfectant Ready to Use (RTU) is a convenient, pre-diluted solution of the trusted F10SC concentrate. Specially prepared for direct application, this broad-spectrum biocide rapidly eliminates bacteria, fungi, viruses, and spores, keeping your pets’ environment hygienic and safe. Safe For The Whole Flock
Labels on disinfectants can feel intimidating, so we went a step further and confirmed directly with our supplier how this product is used in real-world avian care.
- Safe for animals: In its diluted form, F10 is extremely safe for humans, most pets, and exotic animals
- Flexible application: While removing birds during cleaning is a good general practice, F10 is considered safe enough to be used even while they are present
- Proven gentleness: The same formula is used in veterinary settings as an antiseptic solution at a different dilution, including in nebulizers where birds inhale it directly for respiratory support
The stronger warnings on the bottle are a legal requirement for the concentrated chemical. The 1 Liter Ready-to-Use formula you are using is one of the safest disinfectant options available in veterinary care and can be used around your flock.
Helpful Consideration: Disinfectant vs. Cleaner
This is a common misconception so providing clarity might be helpful: F10 is not a cleaner.
It is not designed to break down heavy debris, food buildup, or stuck-on messes. Instead, it is the step that comes after.
- Scrape and remove visible debris first
- Then use F10 to eliminate unseen contaminants and pathogens
This makes it an essential part of a well-rounded cleaning routine, especially in environments where health and biosecurity matter.
Where To Use It
F10 is incredibly versatile and can be used throughout your bird’s environment:
- Cages and bars
- Non porous Perches and playstands
- Food and water dish areas
- Training areas and surfaces
- Surrounding non porous household surfaces
It is also an excellent tool during quarantine periods, helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination when introducing a new bird to your flock or as 1 bio-security step if you have a flock member with a diagnosed disease that you are trying to contain.
